It’s time for summer! Check out some of the new digs from Dollface Deconstruction. Typically I stick to accessories but I feel like its time to start selling my reconstructed clothing as well! The shorts, skirts and accessories in this photo shoot are all originals by Dollface Deconstruction as well as the photography. Enjoy!
The final hours of our epic journey cross country were by far the most intence and incredible. After being taken off guard by the states “agricultural inspection” (no really, thats what it was called) of our vehicle, we missed one of our final exits. Our gps system (or Jack as I like to call him) decided it would be best for us to take the scenic route from the California state line to San Deigo. We reluctantly stopped in a town called Needles to fill up on gas and lets just say the name of this town painted the perfect picture of our experience at the pump. After making a swift getaway, we found ourselves on CA 95 south. This is a very curvy, hilly, poorly maintained and all around scarey road to find yourself on at night. We were both getting nervous. Tyler, because he watches a ton of horror movies and myself because I listen to him talk about these movies all the time. We did our best to pave the moonlit way through the Mojave desert with happy tunes and exciting conversation. And even through the brilliant light of the full moon, I was able to see a couple of shooting stars! After about 100 miles we drove through a small city and from there we followed CA 71 south, wich just happens to go straight up a mountain! The roads were highly elevated, sharply curved, with no guard rails and when you looked over the side it was straight line baby, straight line down. At first I was frustrated with Jack for toying with our lives, time, and emothions but Tyler, being the sweet man that he is, stopped on an overlook to ease my tension. We got out of the car and gazed into a moonlit canyon that seemed to go for miles and miles. We stood breathles for a while, unsure how we would ever be able tell anyone about this indescribable moment. Another shooting star! We shouted into the canyon, ” Hello San Diego! We love you already!” Our message went for miles and after we heard the last eco fade we got back in the car and finished our way up, down, and around the mountain into San Diego. We couldn’t have asked for a more powerful transition between one grand adventure to the next.
This was taken about 60 miles from the Grand Canyon and in my opinion was almost just as breathtaking!
